One Of A Million, Week 1, Day 3

One Of A Million

Well, this is the life, working my arms to the limit harvesting wheat and baking it into bread to share with my 7 other siblings who do nothing to help.  Being the eldest in the family doesn't give you any perks, it seems as if all we're useful for is keeping us alive.  My mother and father haven't given me any glory towards me helping them over the past years and it makes me feel useless.  So when I have to leave my parents I'll make lots of money and wave it right in front of my family's pesky little faces.  They'll ask "Woah, how did you get all that money?", and I'll reply "From working hard, unlike you!"

  1. Kia ora Aedan,

I really like the way you have turned your blog post into a narrative. I like the way you have written it more like a story and there is a strong personal voice.

Would you believe that I have four brothers? I have two older brothers and two younger brothers. Sometimes my brothers don't wash their plates after dinner which can get me quite frustrated, so I always remind them politely if they forget. For the most part, I am so grateful to have so many brothers because my older brothers always help me with technological problems I have (like when my phone broke) and I enjoy doing fun activities with my younger brothers (like swimming, playing basketball and rock climbing)! Even though I can get frustrated, I love and respect my brothers and my parents a lot.

You have a brother as well, don't you? What are some fun things you like do with him?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Noho ora mai,

    Emiely :)
