Translations, Week 1, Day 5

1. Nau mai ki Aotearoa = Welcome to New Zealand

 2. ____ is my name = ____ ko toku ingoa

 3. What is your name? = He aha to ingoa?

 4. He pai taku ki te takaro i te whutupaoro = I like to play rugby

 5. Where do you come from? = No hea koe?

    Kia ora Aedan,

    You have done a great job using Google Translate to translate these English and Maori phrases. In number two "____ is my name = ____ ko toku ingoa" you could add your own name where the blanks are.

    I know that you have used Google Translate before to translate some of your other blog posts into Te Reo Maori. Do you enjoy using Google Translate? Maybe you could think bout translating these phrases into another language like French or Japanese!
