Waitangi, Week 1, Day 5, Part 2

1. You can visit the Treaty House itself to see a replica of the original treaty!

2. You can marvel at the fully carved Maori meeting house, which includes one of the largest Maori war canoes in the country!

3. You can watch a film at the visitor centre.

Personally I would love to look at the Maori meeting house and I would really want to see the Maori war canoe, imagine how big the canoe really is!

  1. Kia ora Aedan,

This is a great list of things to do at Waitangi! You're making me think of planning a road trip up there! I bet the canoe will be massive. It would be so interesting to get to see it up close. I bet it has some beautiful carvings on it too. Have you thought about adding some pictures to this blog post? Maybe you could add some pictures of the Waitangi Visitor Centre or one of the Maori war canoes so people can see what you are talking about. It will also add some colour to your blog posts!

How many people do you think would be able to fit into a Maori war canoe?

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Noho ora mai,

    Emiely :)
